Celia Rocton

PhD researcher

Celia obtained her chemistry master's degree from the University of Nottingham in June 2024. Her master's project focused on investigating the CO2 adsorption/desorption kinetics of surface-modulated activated carbons under the supervision of Professor Robert Mokaya. Throughout her degree, she worked as an intern chemist for Concrete4Change, a rising R&D company developing novel technology to permanently lock CO2 into concrete. She started her PhD in October 2024 within the Nottingham Applied Materials and Interface research group at the University of Nottingham under the supervision of Professor Lee Johnson. Her project will focus on organic radical batteries with the synthesis of redox-active organic compounds and their application in the electrochemistry field with the development of a fully organic battery.
