Mohammed Almalki

PhD student

Mohammed Almalki, from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is a lecturer at the University of Jeddah. He holds a master’s degree in industrial chemistry. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Nottingham under the supervision of Professor Darren Walsh and Professor Graham Newton with the NAMI group. His research focuses on developing electrocatalysts based on non-precious metal oxides within single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) and studying the changes that occur during and after the reaction to enhance the efficiency of electrocatalysts for the water-splitting reaction. This work builds on his master’s research, which aimed to develop electrocatalysts for the methanol oxidation reaction (MOR).
